Volunteer

Volunteer Opportunities


We encourage all parents to volunteer each season as a way to help us lower costs and make sure our programs run as smoothly as possible.  Below you will find a list of opportunities and the age group that they apply to.  Please fell free to volunteer for your own child’s age group or another age group if you so choose.  There is no experience necessary for most positions.  Please refer to the description and the steps listed to apply for the position you are interested in.

 

Girls and Boys Team 1-6

Parent Coach

  • Assist head coach in running practices a minimum of one standing practice per week 
  • Assist head coach during the game with sideline management
  • Minimum requirement to assist at practices is completion of the Positive Coaching Alliance online course

Team Photographer

  • Take candid and posed shots of the team at various events - games, practices, mixers, outreach events
  • Make these photos available on the website, Facebook and in other club materials

Score Keeper (home games only)


Sit at the game table, keep track of scoring, penalties, etc.  Training available.
 

Timekeeper (home games only)


Sit at the game table, keep track of the time left in each quarter as well as any penalties being served.  Training available

Middle School Teams

Parent Administrator

  • Communicate with parents as necessary, including but not limited to weekly updates, away game information, volunteer positions and assignments
  • confirm with opponents couching staff before all games as well as officials.
  • Coordinate and maintain concessions stand and gate for all home games
  • Maintain schedule for scorekeepers, home field setup and sideline managers
  • Support coach with parent communication as necessary and/or requested
  • collect all required forms from parents at start of season
  • Assign, Distribute and Collect uniforms at start and end of season.
  • Organize the end of year team celebration and coach’s gift

Concessions and Gate Attendants

Each team needs 4-5 parents to run the concessions stand and gate during all home game

  • Collect gate fee for all attendees coming into stadium up until halftime
  • help set up concessions stand items and post price sheets
  • get change organized in cash box
  • 5-6 parents total, 2 to man the booth and one to man the gate

 

Field Painter


Paint Initial field lines and repaint existing field lines to keep lines crisp. This job needs to be done as needed throughout the season but can be shared by multiple volunteers. The painting can occur at times convenient to the volunteer; however, painting cannot be done during games/practice.
